This vintage marine-life print features Quahog / hard clam from Plate 28 of George W. Tryon's American Marine Conchology, published in 1873.
Two prominent clamshells carry layered bands of russet, cream, and gray. A slender anatomical drawing and small numbered specimens separate the larger rounded forms.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
