A vintage French winter-sports poster by Leonetto Cappiello, dated 1929, for Superbagnères-Luchon, issued under the name of the Chemins de Fer du Midi. Three skiers in bright knitwear descend a white slope beneath a large hotel.
The skiers wear purple, green and orange jumpers, with a fur hat, a blue scarf streaming in the wind and a yellow collar. Brown capitals at the top read CHEMINS DE FER DU MIDI. A dark blue band at the foot reads SUPERBAGNÈRES-Luchon, with 1800 m d'altitude and SPORTS d'HIVER beneath in cream and yellow letters. The signature and date sit at the right.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
