This 1948 nautical chart of Santa Monica Bay is U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey chart 5144, drawn at 1:40,000 with soundings in fathoms. Close olive contours crowd the hills above Pacific Palisades and Palos Verdes, street grids fill the greige plain between them, and the bay is a quiet near-white field of depth figures.
Lettered on the sheet are Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Venice, Playa del Rey, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Culver Garden, with Topanga Beach, Ballona Creek, Malaga Cove, Lunada Bay, Palos Verdes Point and Redondo Canyon. The Los Angeles Airport is drawn with its runways, and oil and gas seepage is noted offshore.

Returns

We’ll provide a full refund, and U.S. clients will receive a prepaid return label.
