Prohibition Begins presents the front page of Great Falls Daily Tribune, dated January 17, 1920. The United States goes legally dry under the Eighteenth Amendment.
The original masthead, tightly set columns and period typography surround the page's coverage of Prohibition Begins. The complete layout preserves the visual rhythm of daily journalism, including the smaller notices and advertisements that make the page feel immediate and lived in.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
