This vintage Mango Hummingbird print reproduces plate 184 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, gathering five jewel-toned birds among a climbing spray of trumpet flowers.
Three hummingbirds hover with wings outstretched while two rest on blossoms. Olive and emerald feathers, russet-red tails and long curved bills play against coral and golden flowers; the printed plate number, specimen numbers, caption and engraving credits remain visible.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
