This vintage Mangrove Cuckoo print reproduces plate 169 from John James Audubon's nineteenth-century Birds of America, restored as historical wall art for studies, libraries and botanical gallery walls.
A rust-orange cuckoo turns its head beside a partly opened wing, with a long dark tail marked by large white tips. Broad green leaves, curling stems and small white flowers surround the bird; fine leaf veins and pale feather hatching add detail to the tall composition.
Archive Print Co. restores each illustration for clarity while preserving the character of the original. Each reproduction is printed as a giclée art print on heavyweight 325gsm archival matte paper with archival inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece; the print will always be richer in person.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
