A yellow perch by Denton, one of the color plates from a late-19th-century New York fisheries report. The fish is shown in profile on warm cream paper, with bold dark vertical bars, a tall spiny dorsal fin and bright orange lower fins.
The single fish faces left and fills the width of the plate. Its back is olive green, shading to yellow along the belly, and six dark bars cross the flank. The lettered caption below reads Yellow or Barred Perch, with the Latin name Perca americana beneath it. Denton's signature sits in the lower left.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
