Mona O'Kane's patent application publication US 2013/0107520, published May 2, 2013, describes a socket supported disco mirror ball. The ball is built to screw into the socket of a ceiling light fixture and hang from it. The application was filed April 20, 2012, and lists Mona O'Kane of Annapolis, MD as inventor.
The sheet reproduces the printed front page. The abstract describes a tubular stem with an Edison screw thread, a lightweight mirrored sphere that turns on the stem, and a lower base housing a motor, a controller and a power supply that drives one or more LED lighting elements on radiating arms. The drawing shows the globe cut away to reveal its mirrored tiles, the stem, and the base, with numbered parts.
