This twentieth-century nautical chart of Miami Harbor and its approaches in Florida is numbered 583 and drawn at a scale of 1:40,000 with soundings in feet at mean low water. The city and Biscayne Bay fill the sheet in olive tones and pale water. The sheet has the calm, practical look of a working mariner's chart.
Lettered on the sheet are Miami, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove, Cutler, Lemon City and Biscayne, with Biscayne Bay, the Miami River, Key Biscayne, Fisher Island and Fowey Rocks. Causeways cross the bay to Miami Beach, and an anchorage area is lettered off the ocean beach. Two compass roses stand on the sheet, with a table of tides and notes on improved channels at left.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, ensuring your vintage nautical chart will maintain its maritime heritage for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
