A vintage French pharmacy poster by Leonetto Cappiello, dated 1909, for Le Thermogène, a warming remedy against cough, rheumatism and pains in the side. A pale-faced figure in green tights hugs a cloud-like peach mass and breathes out a plume of flame.
The ground is a deep aubergine black. Yellow capitals at the top read LE THERMOGÈNE, with ENGENDRE LA CHALEUR in red beneath. At the lower right, ET and COMBAT: sit above a red line reading TOUX, RHUMATISMES, POINTS DE CÔTÉ, etc. The figure strides diagonally across the centre, and Cappiello's signature is at the lower left.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
