This Transparent Chart of the Heavens print is a museum quality reproduction of John Emslie's astronomical illustration from 1850. The period lettering and distinctive visual character of the historical work are preserved in this edition.
A large circular star chart fills most of the page, with pale blue sky, dense dark stars, and softly colored constellation figures. Smaller circular diagrams surround it, and an arched heading introduces the subject above. The combination of detailed star mapping and figurative illustration creates a rich historical view of the heavens.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
