Libra is a vintage constellation plate from Johannes Hevelius's Uranographia (1690). A pair of gold scales hangs at the centre of the chart, drawn with fine engraved detail, with gold stars marked on the beam and pans.

Virgo is drawn in pale outline at the left, Serpentarius at the upper right, and Scorpius and Lupus at the lower right. Mons Maenalis is lettered at the top, and Corvus, Hydra and Centaurus are named along the lower left. Fig. HH is lettered at the bottom, with the ecliptic and equator running across the sheet inside a red and white dashed edging.

Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.

Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
