An archival reproduction of Scorpio from Johann Bayer's Uranometria (1603). The hand-colored plate shows a green scorpion against navy and cream, crossed by a horizontal band of blue and white stripes, with gold stars throughout.

The scorpion has raised pincers, jointed legs and a segmented tail curling at lower left, each tail segment carrying a gold star, with a larger gold star at the center of its body. Two jagged cream bands run diagonally behind it, a thin red dashed line crosses the striped band, and two pale blue vertical lines divide the plate.

Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.

Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.

Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
