A vintage French public health poster by Leonetto Cappiello, dated 1922, urging viewers to crush tuberculosis and save childhood. A woman in a pale gown lifts a laughing infant overhead while stepping on a coil of green serpents, on a black ground.
A red drape fills the upper right, balanced by grey and violet folds at the left. The serpents curl across the foot of the picture, one with a red tongue. Two lines of yellow capitals read ÉCRASEZ LA TUBERCULOSE ET SAUVEZ L'ENFANCE, with a line of small red text beneath naming the American commission for the prevention of tuberculosis in France, and the artist's signature at the lower left.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
