A vintage French poster by Leonetto Cappiello, dated 1907, for the festivities of the International Student Congress held in Bordeaux in September 1907. A woman in a yellow gown pours wine into a glass from a bunch of grapes while a man in black leans back beside her.
She carries a bundle of grapes in her skirt, and more clusters hang in the dark foliage overhead. A crowd of faces looks on from the shadows, and the ground below is a flat purple. Gold capitals at the top read FÊTES DU CONGRÈS INTERNATIONAL DES ÉTUDIANTS, and at the foot BORDEAUX SEPTEMBRE 1907. Cappiello's signature is at the lower right.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
