Chelonia (Schildkröten, turtles) is a colour plate from Ernst Haeckel's Kunstformen der Natur (Art Forms in Nature), 1904. Nine turtles and tortoises are shown on a shallow seabed and sandy bank, painted in olive, brown, red-brown and blue-grey with fine hatched shading.
Two sea turtles swim at the top, one with red-pink stripes along its shell. Below them a spiny-shelled turtle and a turtle with a long snake-like neck sit among weeds. At the centre a dark green turtle faces a large grey tortoise with a raised neck, and at lower left a tortoise has a yellow-starred pattern on its shell. At lower right a brown turtle shows a long ridged tail. The header reads "Tafel 89 — Testudo"; the caption reads "Chelonia. — Schildkröten."
