Charles Nörther's U.S. Patent 1,327,840, issued January 13, 1920, documents a music typewriter. The sheet is headed C. Nörther, Music Typewriter, and records an application filed May 17, 1916. It is a typewriter built for music, drawn in side and plan view.
Fig. 1 is a side elevation and Fig. 2 a plan of the machine. The plan shows a bank of round keys in rows at the right, a curved arm and a ribbed bed in the middle, and a roller with cross rods at the left. Reference numerals run up to 40, and the inventor's name is printed above the attorneys' signature.
Printed to order on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper with fade-resistant archival pigment inks.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
