Tafel 96 from Ernst Haeckel's Kunstformen der Natur (1904), a plate of marine worms drawn in warm oranges, rose and brown on a graded green ground. Haeckel's heading and the plate number are printed above the panel.
Segmented worms coil and rise through the green water. A feathery crown of fine tentacles tops the central worm, whose long body loops into a ring, and a striped, fan-shaped worm curls at the upper left. At the lower left a pink, funnel-shaped worm with a rosette of tentacles sits on a mass of tubes. A broad, bristled worm lies at the bottom center, with a slender striped worm and a branched red fan at the right.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
