This 1968 nautical chart of Boston Harbor, Massachusetts, is U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey chart 246, drawn on a Mercator projection at 1:25,000 with soundings in feet at mean low water. Stone-taupe land holds a dense street grid from Charlestown to Quincy, and pale blue shallows ring the scattered harbor islands beneath large compass roses.
Lettered on the sheet are Boston, Charlestown, East Boston, South Boston, Chelsea, Winthrop, Dorchester, Quincy, Hull and Hingham, with Logan International Airport, Dorchester Bay, Quincy Bay, Hingham Bay, Hull Bay and Broad Sound. Deer, Spectacle, Thompson, Lovell, Peddocks and Grape Islands crowd the harbor out to the Brewsters and the Graves. A table gives the Boston North Channel depths, and a note in President Roads marks unexploded ordnance.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, ensuring your vintage nautical chart will maintain its maritime heritage for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
