Blastoidea (Knospensterne) is Plate 80 of Ernst Haeckel's Kunstformen der Natur, 1904, lithographed by Adolf Giltsch after Haeckel's design. It shows blastoids, with five-part symmetry, drawn in grey, olive-green and cream on a black field.
Rounded bodies seen from above and from the side show star-shaped tops with radiating olive-green ridges and domed forms with rows of small plates. At the lower right a tall, bud-shaped form has a lattice of white pores on its base, and at the lower left a feathered fan of fine rays opens above a five-pointed body. The header reads "Haeckel, Kunstformen der Natur" and "Tafel 80 — Pentremites"; the caption reads "Blastoidea. — Knospensterne."
