Arthur Crane's U.S. Patent 947,802, issued February 1, 1910, documents an airship. The sheet is headed A. Crane, Airship, with the number 947,802 at the upper left and the patent date, February 1, 1910, at the upper right.

Fig. 1 shows a streamlined car casing lettered M, with two propellers on a vertical shaft above it and a pair of propellers on a horizontal shaft at one end, and cylinders lettered BB and CC inside. Wires run down to two units labelled Rheostat. Fig. 2 is an enlarged detail of the motor end. The inventor's and witnesses' signatures appear below.
