John James Audubon captured the American Flamingo in all its tropical magnificence for his legendary Birds of America series, published between 1827 and 1838. This striking ornithological illustration showcases the elegant wading bird in Audubon's signature life-size scale, painted with the meticulous detail that made him America's most celebrated naturalist-artist.
Working in the early 19th century when much of America's wildlife remained scientifically undocumented, Audubon combined artistic brilliance with field observation. He traveled extensively through Florida and the Caribbean to study flamingos in their natural habitat, documenting their distinctive curved necks, vibrant plumage, and graceful proportions. The original hand-colored aquatint engravings were produced in Edinburgh and London, representing the pinnacle of scientific illustration.

International Orders – For international customers, we offer the "Print Only" option to ensure faster delivery and reduce shipping costs. International orders may take 2–3 weeks for delivery due to customs processes. Please note that clients are responsible for any customs fees. Tracking information will be provided via email once your order ships.
Returns
We want you to be fully satisfied with your artwork. If you feel your art isn’t the right fit for your home, you may initiate a return within 14 days of purchase. We’ll provide a full refund, and U.S. clients will receive a prepaid return label. For international returns, clients are responsible for return shipping costs, with a full refund provided upon receipt of the return.
