Agua de los Carmelitas Boyer is a poster by Leonetto Cappiello, from about 1911, with Spanish lettering naming agents in Buenos Aires. A line of hooded figures in dark robes and white veils stands on a rock, the foremost holding a tall bottle above a black anchor against an orange-red sky.
Four cloaked figures stand one behind another, their white hoods and sleeves repeating in a stepped line. The front figure lifts the bottle, whose label is covered in small print. Yellow capitals read AGUA DE LOS CARMELITAS BOYER at the top, with ES LA SALUD beneath the rock and, at the foot, the line para AMERICA DEL SUD, Corrientes 571, BUENOS-AIRES. A printer's line runs up the left edge, and Cappiello's signature sits at the right.
Printed on 325gsm museum-grade archival matte paper using fade-resistant giclée printing with archival inks, preserving the detail and character of the original for generations.
Colors may vary slightly between screens and the finished piece — the print will always be richer.
Our prints are produced to museum standards. Each piece is printed on premium heavyweight archival matte paper (325gsm), the same quality used in museums and galleries, giving rich color, deep blacks, and excellent detail.
